Manasseh is considered the most evil king in the history of Judah. He promoted idolatry and child sacrifices. However, he was still able to change his life around toward this end of his reign. John cried when he believed that no one alive was worthy to open the scroll in God's hand in Revelations 5.

In 1st Samuel 16:14 the text reads: "But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him."

Does that mean that God himself sent an evil spirit to trouble Saul?
