  • On July 29, 2024, Pres. Joe Biden announced a proposal to reform the Supreme Court because he contends the Court has become an extreme MAGA Court that threatens our democracy. Biden asks Congress to pass laws making terms of 18 years for Supreme Court Justices, and making a code of ethics that the Court must follow. There is no chance his proposal will go anywhere; this is just a political act to try to paint the Supreme Court as extreme and dangerous, and to help defeat Trump in November. In the podcast we will examine the main, recent Court opinions, and show that they are mostly historically in line with precedents, and that the cases that Biden criticizes are correct, sound and good for the nation and for the Constitution.
