  • The Heavens were Opened - Mark 6:14-29
    Jul 6 2024
Today’s passage about John the Baptist highlights peer pressure, exposes sin, and the danger of not being truthful with ourselves. When most of us think about peer pressure, we often think about the urge to have something someone else has, but when it becomes obsessive, it can become dangerous, deadly. • A thorn in my flesh - 2 Corinthians 12:1-10
    Jul 6 2024
Thorns can protect, thorns might refine character, thorns might generate transformative encounters. Paul had a thorn in his side, we don’t know what that thorn looked like, but we do know that Paul felt it was there to keep him from becoming proud. It seems most if not all of us have thorns in our lives. What does yours look like. Might it be God’s way of working in your life? • Called to be a friend for life - 2 Samuel 1:17-27
    Jun 29 2024
When David and Jonathan met, they became close friends at once. Their friendship is one of the deepest and closest recorded in the Bible. They based their friendship on commitment to God, not just each other. They let nothing come between them, not even career or family problems. They drew closer together when their friendship was tested. They remained friends to the end. But, while David had a good friend for life in Jonathan, I believe we have a good friend for eternity in Jesus Christ our Lord! • “Let’s cross to the other side” – Mark 4:35-41
    Jun 21 2024
Jesus had been teaching the crowds all day. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” What was Jesus really saying? Was he asking us to trust him through the storms in our lives? Was he asking us to not fear, but to have faith? What do you think? • A universal Hope! - 2 Corinthians 5:6-17
    Jun 14 2024
In this passage, the apostle expresses hope in the promise of resurrection, longing to be away from the earthly body and at home with the Lord. While he gives the clear impression that he can’t wait to be with the Lord, he also wants to bring us hope that to live a Christian life is a personal transformation. We're told that faith encourages. So, never give up. Then there's talk about our new body and that we should take the long view. • God’s Words don’t fall to the ground! - 1 Samuel 3:1-5, 8b-20
    Jun 1 2024
But Samuel is just a kid! And God called him to be a prophet? I wonder what kind of discipline he had to go through to get that job. Eli was much better suited, right? He had the age, he had the education, he had the position. So why not him? We'll find the answer in 1 Samuel 3. Join me! • Send Me! - Isaiah 6:1-8
    May 24 2024
Our text today talks about the throne where the Lord is seated, high and exalted, represents His eternal sovereign, and universal rule, He is high above all other kings, but at the same time He is concerned about the welfare of His people, The imagery of God’s robe filling the temple conveys a sense of encompassing presence, signifying that God’s glory permeates all spaces, even transcending physical boundaries. This brings home that God is with us every day, everywhere, in every circumstance. Does this scare you? Or does it bring you joy?
