  • American Freedom of Speech
    May 15 2025

The Unpopped Colonels introduce their reboot of the Unpopped Colonels Podcast. It's been great with our initial effort, but we're looking for more engagement. So, we're jumping into Current Events and Current Issues (capitalization intended).

In this episode, the Unpopped Colonels discuss one of America's greatest liberties: Freedom of Speech. It's a much overused and mailgned Freedom by those who reaaly don't understand the full value of the gift the Framers of the Constitution granted us all.

There are two categories of the spoken word: 1) protected, and 2) unprotected. Protected indicates the Government cannot impinge of the message offered; this protected speech is narrowly tailord. Unprotected speech means, for lack of a better term - you're on your own.

Freedom of Speech does no way shape or form you can say whatever you want to say, nor does it offer safe harbor to those who are here in our Great Country illegally.

The Wendigo is a demon, but these demons create new Wendigos from humans who are consumed with financial greed or hunger for human flesh. After conversion, these new Wendigos grow proportionately in size to the victims they devour. It is said, the mere sight of a Wendingo is enough to make the human heart freeze in terror.

  • 31 Days of Halloween, October 10th: Mothman
    Oct 12 2024

How does one sum up Mothman with just a few words? Mothman is largely associated with the December 1th, 1967 collapse of the Silver Bridge, which spanned the Ohio River, connecting Gallipolis, Ohio and Point Pleasant, West Virginia. But, there's much more to Mothman.

  • 31 Days of Halloween, October 9th: The Carter Brothers
    Oct 12 2024

Still think vampires are purely fictional? Let me introduce you to the Carter Brothers. It all came to light in the early 1930s when a New Orleans police officer found a little girl meandering down Royal Street in the French Qurater. She was exhausted, dirty, disoriented, but still had enough wits about her to tell a horrific story.

    Oct 6 2024

A fictional character in the 1869 Victor Hugo novel, "The Man Who Laughs," Gwynplaine navigates life after the disfiguring of his face as a small child. But, it's not the tradgedy of his disfigurment; rather, it is the arrogance of the ruling class and the timidity of the ruled.
