Today's episode is dedicated to the establishment of the meaning of the Balneo Medical KUR, a German descriptor derived from the latin word Cura meaning Cure. Together with our cohost Dr. Marko Koscak, university professor of ethical tourism, we will discuss the ideal seasons or part of the year where a Balneo-Medical Kur (BMK) would be the most beneficial to the traveler and or patient seeking treatment. Balneo Medical Kur as a historical development will be presented in regards to different geographical perspectives and cultural variations on the European continent. Significant differences between a typical vacation and the balneo medical kur travel experience will be analyzed and the fluid borders between both concepts addressed.
