  • Look for the Good: How Passion, a Postcard and a little Gratitude Opened Doors of Opportunity
    Nov 13 2013
What makes you grateful? That is what my guest Anne Kubitsky wants to know. It all started one crisp, fall day in October 2011 when she printed 500 blank invitation postcards and distributed them locally in post offices, parks, cafés, community centers, libraries, and anywhere she could think of. She thought it might be fun for people and wondered if anyone would respond. To her delight, people did. Soon she was getting handmade postcards from all over the world, and now she has thousands of responses. In fact, she got so many postcards that she put together a number of exhibits and installations. She had the chance to share the cards in the media. She made some wonderful new friends. And she unexpectedly went through a lot of healing. Upon meeting Anne in December 2011, Diana Lyn Cote decided to paint a glimmer of gladness on a postcard every day of 2012 (a leap year), calling the collection her “Leap of Faith.” She is now selling these postcards to benefit the project.
