Have you ever wondered about the story of the "Jazz Bear?" You won't want to miss this Giant.   99% of all of Jon Absey's appearances as Jazz Bear were charity work. He's had 10 surgeries, 27 torn ligaments, tendons, and muscles, and 156 stitches and staples as the Bear. Jon helped raise over 2 million dollars for charity over his career.  Jon is in a class all his own. Dating back to his first season in Utah, he performed at over 900 NBA games, has donated 16,000-plus hours of assistance in the community for more than 300 community organizations, and raised more than one million dollars for charity in the process.  Jon has taken home more than 40 community and national awards, including eight mascot leadership awards, keys to two cities, been honored by three individual governors with his very own “Day in Utah”, been named Mascot of the Year in the NBA five times and Best Mascot out of all sports nationwide twice and, just recently was given an award for the best video by a mascot out of all sports nationwide.  He has been inducted into the YMCA Hall of Fame, the Utah Summer Games Hall of Fame, and the Mascot Hall of Fame in 2006. “The reason the character grew to be such a big part of the community was because of the help I had from everyone around me.  Without the help from people who cared, it wouldn’t have been as successful.” Jon is so ever grateful for the understanding of his wife and children and the fact that they let him build this character even though it took him away from home way too much. Behind the suit, has always been a supportive and proud family. Without them, he would have just been an ordinary bear.

How To Honor The Earth featuring JJ Middleway  JJ Middleway follows a Druid path. Since 1997 he has been a Druid member of the Order of Bards Ovates and Druids.  He sings , writes poetry and teaches.  His vision is “For Humanity to once again hold Nature as being Sacred” To this end he has produced several dozen episodes of Sovereign Earth, which cover subjects from ‘virtue’ to ‘humility’ , from ‘pilgrimage’ to ‘humour’ and from ‘prayerfulness’ to ‘playfulness’.  Each episode being a stepping stone to that vision, with the intention for it to form ‘a new curriculum’ since most of the subjects covered, barely feature in current mainstream education.  This is an ongoing project.  JJ also holds weekly world wide gatherings in a virtual ‘Global Grove‘ each Friday evening called ‘Earth Service’.  Through Song, Silence and Reflection the Earth is celebrated and honoured. My name is Julie Wieler and I am a wife, mom, sister, daughter, business owner, and friend.  I’m curious, have you ever had one of those moments in life that completely change your trajectory?  In December of 2015, my husband was diagnosed with a lung disease and our lives changed overnight. I went from being a stay at home mom to wondering where to go next. I started to realize that my husband’s illness was a chance to realign our lives. To take stock in what is profoundly important to us. I went back to school; I started a business and dove into the personal development arena. What I learned was; We are meant to do incredible things, and we are meant to be surrounded by an incredible community that supports us as we do those incredible things!  The last few years have been an incredible journey and I am so grateful to share all the things I have learned along the way. Tiffany started out as a young mom with big dreams, she joined the PTA and began a family with the best intentions. However, over time and after a serious trauma, Tiffany became dependent on substances to fill the void. Tiffany spent 6 years alone living on the streets seeking something in others that she was avoiding in herself. No matter how much she wanted to return home to her children the shame had a hold of her. Tiffany felt powerless.  Tiffany uses her new found power to dominate every area of her life. She’ll be the best dressed, have the most fun, look for ways to build others up, and find opportunities to serve. She is most known for the positivity and love she brings to the world. In her free time, she’ll be making TikTok’s with her kids, attending church, traveling near and far in adventure and serving the unsheltered and sex-exploited community. Tiffany finds healing and compassion for her past self and others through her time spent in service.  Tiffany’s “why”, are her children; she is focused on creating her best self to be the mother to her children she always wanted for herself. Tiffany has gained ground on her independence: mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually over the last 3 years and she prides herself on creating experiences to bond with her children. Tiffany understands she can’t make up for the past so she’s focusing on building the present and future with her children.  In 2021, Tiffany plans to level up by expanding her coaching skills and practice to create a program to support birth moms through the adoption process.
