    We’re in North London this week with the fabulous presenter, podcaster and bestselling author Kate Lawler and her two dogs Baxter and Shirley.


    Kate is absolutely in love with her dogs - and long with her little girl Noa - they are her children! Baxter is 13 - he’s a border terrier and joins us on our walk in style in his very own dog buggy. Shirley is a mixed breed terrier rescue who tends to leads the pack and loves to chase squirrels.


    We discuss the qualities that Kate has that led her to win series three of Big Brother, the joy that Shirley and Baxter bring to her life and her thoughts on having a fulfilled life - with, or without children.

    This week, Emily and Raymond are taking a walk in Battersea Park with the brilliant Patrick Grant! Patrick is well-loved for his role as a judge on The Great British Sewing Bee. He’s also a designer, entrepreneur, owner of Community Clothing - a sustainable fashion label.


    Although Patrick doesn’t currently have a dog, he has a wealth of dog experience from his idyllic childhood in Edinburgh - which sounds like it was a scene straight out of The Wind In The Willows. He explains the origins of his lifelong interest in clothes and we discuss the subtleties of being well-dressed.

    David is a huge cat lover - he’s had over 20 cats in his life. However, we popped down the road to see Frank Skinner who kindly lent us his dog Poppy for our walk. Frank seemed very relaxed with the idea of us taking Poppy out - but David wasn’t so sure...

    This week on Walking The Dog, we’re taking a walk in North London with the brilliant comedian Lou Sanders. Lou has appeared on shows such as QI and Would I Lie To You? and she also won the eighth series of Taskmaster.


    Lou is pretty obsessed with her two cats - she’s even moving house for them, but we think Ray won her over and scored a few points for Team Dog. Lou has a long history with cats - she even had one with showbiz aspirations... She tells us about being an alcoholic at a young age, moving out of her family home at 15 and how the complex relationship she had with her family has healed over time.
