  • Hello, and welcome to PlayPods, the new series from the GOSH Learning Academy.

    Today, Tuesday the 11th of June 2024, is the first ever International Day of Play. Play can foster empathy, creativity, and resilience. For those children and young people in hospital it is vital for promoting wellbeing, offering a safe outlet for big emotions, a space to feel grounded, and even as a means of understanding and navigating the complicated and scary world of health care.

    We created this series to highlight the vital role the Play Team at GOSH play in creating spaces for play for the babies, children, and young people who are treated in our hospital.

    Keep an ear out for the first episode dropping 7th August 2024. We can't wait to see you there.
