What Adam Wishes He Had Known

  • Resumen

  • Professor Adam Ockleford is the Director of Applied Music Research Centre and a Professor or Music at the University of Roehampton. Adam has authored over 20 books on the subject of music, learning, memory and creativity; the cognition of musical structure and the construction of musical meaning.

In this episode of Things I Wish I Had Known, Adam explains how music is our first language and can be a vehicle for the creation of relationships and communication when individuals may lack the verbal ability to express themselves.

This podcast also features a very special guest! Romy is one of Adam's students, she joins us towards the end of the podcast for her music lesson and we get to listen in on some of the amazing music that they create together and the interplay of music as communication between them.
