  • "Wow that's terrible to hear... I wish there was something I could do to help them!" We've all said that after hearing about a loved one or friend going through a traumatic event. We genuinely want to help but don't know how. We don't even know what to say. So we avoid it. 

    We don't do anything but say "if there's ever anything I can do..." or worse, we say something stupid in a grocery store aisle to them next time we bump into them...  

    Jennifer Thompson lost her 4 year old son, Jace, to DIPG (form of brain cancer). On this episode, her and I have a very honest and transparent conversation about what was helpful to her family when Jace was diagnosed, during treatment, and what her family needs most now that Jace is gone.
