  • Ben Miller is an Economics graduate of what is now called the Mitch Daniels School of Business at Purdue. He was also an honors student at Purdue – and now works as a policy researcher with the RAND corporation. The RAND corporation is not actually a corporation – it is a nonprofit institution that, according to its mission, helps improve policy and decision making through research and analysis.  Ben holds several positions at RAND – first as an economist – and also a professor at the Pardee RAND Graduate School, and a research quality assurance manager for RAND's Social and Economic Well-Being Division  Ben will be in residence at the John Martinson Honors College on September 29. More details about his visit can be found in the show notes, and of course will be promoted through our social channels and other various means of communications in the college.   What is policy research?
