The narcissist will 'hoover' you back (meaning to suck you back, the term being coined from the Hoover vacuum cleaner), to regain control of you, and to make sure you never forget about them.
Narcissists have a way of reappearing in your life, often when you least expect it. After enduring the pain and chaos of narcissistic abuse, it's natural to ask yourself, "Why do they come back?"
