    Philip is directed by an angel to speak with an Ethiopian eunuch who was reading one of the Servant of the Lord passages in Isaiah and needed an explanation of its meaning. The Ethiopian believes and is baptized en route to Gaza. Philip continues to be an evangelist in other places.

  • Paul on the Damascus Road

    On his way to persecute the Christians in Damascus, Saul has a very dramatic experience of the risen Jesus. He is blinded and shocked and waits three days for Ananias to come and baptise him, pray with him and confirm his calling. Both Ananias and Saul experience visions.

  • Paul joins the church

    Paul preached in Damascus for a short time and then spent three years away from people before he went to Jerusalem to meet with the Apostles. He met with opposition from the Jews but also the church in Jerusalem until Barnabas built bridges between Paul and the Apostles. He had to leave Damascus and then Jerusalem and went to Caesarea and then Tarsus.
