  • Poem Breakdown - Scott Cassidy 'A Glimpse & The Ghost'
    Apr 23 2023

This week, Scott treats us to the breakdown of his wonderful 'A Glimpse & The Ghost'

'Scott is an Edinburgh(ish)-based writer whose poems tug at the threads of the tales woven to make sense of the world at large. He explores people, place and politics with a storyteller's eye and a sense of spite for those who choose profit over peace. Scott performs regularly throughout Scotland and has read at events ranging from the Edinburgh International Book Festival to the launch of an Art Collective's response to the climate crisis (hat tipped to @earthingproject!). You can find him on social media @scottcassidywrites, and hopefully in many a publication to come...'

  • Poem Breakdown - Sonny Green 'Doorsteps Of Britain'
    Mar 5 2023

This week, Sonny treats us to the breakdown of his exceptional 'Doorsteps Of Britain'

Sonny Green has worked in the live music scene over many years doing various gigs including being the first ever rap artist to perform at the House of Commons supporting Fatboy Slim. He’s worked with Brian May, Slash, Pete Doherty, Tamer Hassan amongst many well known artists. After supporting Asian Dub Foundation at a gig at Broadwater Farm, he was quickly recruited to join them live and to date he has played over 50 venues across Europe, consistently delivering confident live performances, opening for a variety of performers. In a sea of other similar artists, what makes Sonny stand out from the crowd is that he calls it as he sees it, and his angry lyrical tirades are completely uncompromising, unmaterialistic and calls out everyone from politicians to his peers without fear.
