    The League One Alberta regular season has wrapped up and Calgary Blizzard are the women's division champions. They will go to Hamilton in August for the interprovincial championships. We interview Blizzard head coach Diogo Raposo about their season, what happened to the league playoff final match and look ahead to the tournament in Hamilton.

    We review Cavalry's draw last week vs Forge and preview Friday evening's away match vs Vancouver FC. We talk about the arrival of Lowell Wright and the departure of Lleyton Brooks from the club.

    Cavalry FC have reached the mid point of their CPL season. We review their loss against York United, preview their match on the weekend vs Forge and talk about the positives and negatives we noticed in the first 14 matches.

    Our interview is with Christian Greco-Taylor. He is currently with Pacific FC and is also playing for Canada in the upcoming CONCACAF U20 Championships in Mexico. We discuss moving away from home at 14, lessons learned and career goals.

    Foothills WFC demolished FC Arizona on the weekend to complete their season. We recap their year and discuss what's next. Is it worth keeping a UWS team going with NSL and League One Alberta now in the mix?

    Our interview this week is with Karim Bachir Bey. Karim grew up in Calgary and plays for the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns. This summer he has joined the Thunder Bay Chill in USL2. We discuss his career path that has led him to spend his summers playing for USL2 clubs instead of League One Alberta and AMSL.

Daan Klomp's contract will expire soon, Myer Bevan is still on the suspended list and Jose Escalante (remember him?) completes his Honduran loan on June 30. Could he possibly return to Calgary to help reinforce the depleted Cavs attackers? We ask him.

Tommy Wheeldon Jr hinted the club will sign a new player under the CPL's "Exceptional Young Talent" program. We speculate who it could be. Wrapping up our Cavalry discussion, we interview Fraser Aird who talks about his offensive and defensive contributions this year and his chemistry with Tobias Warschewski.

    We review Foothills WFC's California road trip where they welcomed back some familiar faces and faced the Santa Clarita Blue Heat in a must win game that has huge playoff implications.

    Other topics include the shocking shift in the League One Alberta women's division table, Mya Jones opens her account in the NWSL and Scott has received a shipment of his book "Here Come the Cavalry!"

    In this week's episode, we review of the Cavs 1-0 victory over Forge last weekend. We also look ahead to the neutral site match this weekend in Kelowna vs Vancouver FC.

    Our interview this week is with Juli Sorochan of Callies United of League One Alberta. Juli has also spent time in the Philippines national youth team program. We discuss how her first season in League One is going, her experience in the Philippines program and what are her career goals in soccer.

    We take a trip down memory lane and discuss the Calgary Boomers, who were Calgary's first pro soccer team. They played in the old NASL in the early 80's. Scott's new book Here Come the Cavalry! chronicles pro soccer history in Calgary and the Boomers are the focus of the first chapter.

    Foothills UWS is on a big California road trip this week and we discuss the matchups. There's also some AMSL discussion and we review how players with a Calgary connection did playing for national teams last week.

    Our interview this week is with Moe El Gandour. He's currently playing with Blizzard in League One Alberta. We chat about this season and also his career at Mount Royal, Foothills, as a Cavalry draft pick and his time with the Lebanon national team program.

    We also review how some Calgarians did in national team play this week and we wrap up by talking about Scott's book about Calgary pro soccer history, which can be purchased online now.
