  • 25: Why You Need to Share Your Values with Your Listeners...
    Jun 2 2023

In the last episode I mentioned something really important that I don't think I've really gone into detail about in previous episodes. You need to share your values with your listeners. Why? Because your goal with your podcast, if you're using it for business, is to call in more right fit clients, customers, and listeners.

Connecting with your values as well as with your knowledge, expertise, style, etc. is a huge part of calling in your people.

In some ways this can be a fairly scary concept. Especially in a world that is dominated by cancel culture and extreme judgement. What if you believe in something, very strongly, that is currently not "cool" to believe?

Do you share it? Do you keep it in?

Only you can really decide but in all of your marketing I believe you should lead with your values. People want to know what to expect from you. Let them know what that is!

For instance, I highly value excellence, honesty, integrity, and initiative. These are things that I hold near and dear to my heart and what I hope to provide to my clients at all times. I also LOVE to have fun, believe that our unique qualities are our superpowers, and that I wouldn't be where I am today without the grace and love of God and the purpose He's given me in this life.

The other day I was up... super late... because I just couldn't sleep and all I could think was I need to do an episode about values. Then I finally went to sleep and completely forgot about this episode, until I mentioned values in the last episode.

That mention brought the values topic right back up for me.

Which of course means that I had to get this out there.

If you're wondering how to incorporate your values into your podcast, listen in as I share three quick ways you can infuse your values into every episode.

Have you mapped out your values yet? If not, get started!

  • 24: Podcast Monetization Strategies - Sponsorships
    May 26 2023

I cannot tell you how often I'm asked about pursing sponsorships as a monetization strategy... hint: it's a lot! And as with most things, I think pursuing those relationships really depends on where you're at in your podcasting journey and what your goals are for your podcast and business.

Which is why I decided it was time to do an episode all about sponsorships. This isn't going to be a how-to on getting sponsorships, but rather a "things to consider" as you start crafting an external monetization strategy for your show.

  • 21: Prepping Your Podcast For Summer
    May 5 2023

Are you ready for summer? Is your podcast?

If you're a parent (or a student) you probably find that life looks a LOT different during the summer time. Kids are home from school, activities are endless, days are long, and there's not a ton of time to keep recording.

For some podcasters there isn't really any difference. They're able to still find the time to stick to a clear recording schedule and keep all the fires burning.

But for others, summer is a lot different.

Rather than letting your podcast languish, get prepped for summer instead. Wondering how to do that? Here are a few quick tips to prep your podcast for summer!
