Health was always desirable, but for a decade, no matter what she tried, she had lackluster results. Eventually, she pushed health to the side in pursuit of other goals. During that time, she never thought she would try acupuncture because of her fear of needles! In her mid-twenties, she met an acupuncturist who always resonated a sense of calm and made her feel at ease. One day, Jessida made the "crazy" decision to try it. At her first treatment, she was amazed that she barely felt the needles. They were hair-thin and nothing like her other experiences with needles in medicine. Still, she did not believe in them. It wasn’t until she started to feel changes in her own body that she began to believe. She watched expectantly for her health to yo-yo backwards, but her health continued to make progress. Her doubt in the tiny needles washed away, replaced by curiosity that grew more and more. After the hard time she had with her health journey previously, she HAD to learn more about this magic! After picking up a book that only increased her fascination, she enrolled at Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, CA.
