This is a perfect exercise to start your day or before bedtime as it instantly declutters the mind from unnecessary chatter. Zazen is the quickest way to sharpen ones power of concentration, achieve unification and tranquility of mind, spiritual emancipation and eventually, if one’s aspiration is pure and strong enough, come to self-realization or enlightenment.
