    Wauban loves nothing more than to play outside and there is no better time for play than when spring comes. Wauban is learning to speak his Ojibwe language as a student of the Niigaane Program at the Bug O Nay Ge Shig School. He hopes that his podcast will encourage others to put down their gaming systems, go outside and just have fun being part of nature. He also hopes that those listening might pick up a few of the Ojibwe words and phrases he shares in this podcast.

    Wachaga loves the season of sugarbush. It comes just as the snow begins to melt and the sap begins to run. She attends sugarbush each season as part of her school learning, and participates in tapping trees, collecting and moving sap, and boiling the sap into syrup. She shares in her podcasts many of the words and phrases she has learned related to this cultural practice and hopes that listening to it will inspire others to begin learning the complex and meaningful language of her culture.

    Babaamaashikwens lives on the Leech Lake Reservation which is home to many different types of trees - all of which she loves. She also loves her Ojibwe language that she is working hard to learn. She has created this podcast in hopes of sharing her growing knowledge of the Ojibwe language and her appreciation of the tall trees that surround her.

    Nigigoonsikwe has been learning about traditional Anishinaabe medicines with her mother for several years. She appreciates deeply the power of nature to heal and wanted to share in her Ojibwe language some of the medicines used commonly in and around her home of Leech Lake Reservation. Nigigoonsikwe is a language learner and student of the Niigaane Program of the Bug O Nay Ge Shig School.

Whether he is by himself or with friends, fishing is a peaceful and calming experience that he looks forward to as the ice and snow begin to melt and the rivers and lakes open up with a new populations of fish.
