A Meeting in the Dark

Kim Crosley is a rent boy with too much curiosity. He wants to know who owns the Chrysler touring car stopping at his street corner every night. Hitching a ride and sneaking into the gent's house seems the best way to find out...but he gets caught. Kit Laurence is an ex-soccer champ, a near-recluse since a sports injury ended his career.

Streetwise Kim Crosley doesn't know what to make of Kit Laurence's attitude. Half the time the ex-soccer champ acts like a pygmalion, trying to turn the sow's ear who's a rent boy into a silk purse...then, occasionally, he allows true affection to show through his puzzling attitude. Kim is determined to break down the walls and force the real Kit to emerge. In the meantime, he's fighting chauffeur Devlin's prejudice by trying to show he loves the man and not his money. A devastating illness offers Kim a chance to prove once and for all how he feels...if Kit survives.
