I’ve been cursed. Not metaphorically. Not, “Oh no! I spilled my coffee!” or “I broke a heel!” No. I’ve been cursed by a book and now I’m a danger to everyone I care about.

I saw some of myself in the FL
Reviewed: 09-28-24
I am so glad that the female narrator was able to pronounce the Spanish words! It grates on me when a narrator who is voicing a latin÷e character butchers the Spanish. The male narrator was great too.
In general, I really appreciated the FL's character. The author did a great job of fleshing out her personality and it didn't feel like token representation. the story was really good overall. There was lots of fluff and lots of spice. It's not the most action packed story but there was enough to keep the plot interesting. A word of warning: the spice gets little strange so if your looking for only human anatomy, you might not love some of the spicy scenes.

Story
My family has always found me lacking. From the way I dress, how I look, to the type of magic I have. My family name is full of pomp and prestige, and I want nothing to do with it. I’m a witch that knows how to set a goal and I have one in mind. I want a real family. It seems too good to be true that I can give the list of traits I want in a partner and have my deepest desire answered, but I’m out of options. From the very first moment I meet Elliot Bramblewick, I have hope. But he’s tricky. I’m not expecting him to be hiding two other mates.

Sweet and Spicy
Reviewed: 09-19-24
I suffered through this a bit because I have a family member that shares the FL's name. It made spicy scenes kinda cringey because they use FL's name **constantly**. But I listened anyway because it was a good story overall. The characters had depth, the plot had a good pace and the spice was great. I really liked the narrator too. I'm pretty picky about narrators but I thought she brought the story to life. She also did well with the male characters' voices.

Unique concept! book 2 narration was not great
Reviewed: 08-02-24
This is an interesting take on fantasy romance, I really like the overall world building. There is good balance of the overall plot and romance. each book has a bit of spice too.
I really struggled with the narration in book two! The male narrator had a good voice but had an odd cadence. His narration felt kind of flat. The female narrator was really hard to listen to! she added the same lilt to the end of most of her sentences, her voices for side characters were so weird and her attempt at male voices was not great. It made me contemplate dropping the series. The book 1 and book 3 narrators were all decent. I am not a huge fan of dual narration in general. I prefer duet narration or a single narrator for the book. I hate hearing the same characters with different voices as the narrators switch from one chapter to the next.

I love Tiffany Roberts books so I'm not surprised that I enjoyed this story. The pacing was good and the characters were well fleshed out. A fair bit of spice was sprinkled in🌶🌶🌶
The narration was great! The male narrator was especially great and there were some cool audio effects that I enjoyed.

Story
There are a few things my Tri-God did not prepare me for. The first? Niahhorru pirates. They want the coordinates to an unprotected human satellite, and I have them. The confusing? The human Council's secrets that I've uncovered and that may get me killed. The most sinful? The pressure in my stomach...well, lower than my stomach...that draws me to the male who hates me most in this universe.

I was really looking forward to this story and it didn't disappoint. There was lots of action and romance.
The narrators however... I was really not a fan. The male narrator was especially tough to listen to. He read in this strange way like he's always out of breath. I won't continue the series if the next book has the same narrators.

This book was a little short and there want enough build up to the romance. I think this book would have benefited from having the couple spend more time together building up some steam. I still enjoyed the story for the most part and the narrators were great as usual.

ML is difficult to like at times
Reviewed: 12-27-23
I liked the narrator overall though there were times when I found his "orc voice" to be biiit over the top. Generally, he did a good job of differentiating characters and his female voices were pretty good. I think he brought emotion to the story.
The story itself was not my favorite. I don't listen to romance novels looking for feminist themes but I couldn't entirely get past the male lead's actions. I honestly kinda wanted the FL to run away from everyone and strike out on her own instead of sticking by her man. Even when after the book was over and I understood his back story, I still couldn't really look at ML as a "good guy". There are a lot of spicy scenes so that was fun but I'm on the fence on this one.

The story was really interesting. The author put some real thought into the world-building. I got really frustrated at the main characters a few times, but miscommunication was bound to happen. I thought the pacing was good overall.
I enjoyed the narrator again in this novel. he varies his voice enough to differentiate characters but none of his voices are silly or grating. I feel that he does a good job of adding in emotion.
my only problem is that I stayed up late listening to this and I finished it so quickly!!

I enjoyed the narrator quite a bit. He did a good job of varying the voices and read with emotion. He has a pleasant voice in general.
I am excited to start the next book!

Story
As one of the new human cadets at an alien military academy, I knew I’d have to prove myself. Especially since I’m one of only a few females sent by Earth. I just didn’t know that the one alien I want to impress would be the one who seems determined to hate me. I was sent here because I’m a champion pod racer, so why won’t the big, gruff pod instructor let me show him what I can do? If he thinks ignoring me or assigning me after-hours work polishing his pods will discourage me, then he’s never met a girl from Texas.

I enjoyed the story overall, but it really could have been longer. The romance needed a bit more time to develop. I enjoy the world building, and I'm intrigued to know more, but it's kind of hard to blow a credit on such short books.
I love that this has duet style narration, so the male narrator does all of the male voices, and the female narrator voices all of the female characters. I like both narrators quite a bit and I think they work well together.
