The world’s food supply grows aggressively, occupying every inch of earth, no matter how inhospitable. World hunger is averted. Humanity flourishes. RC-714 is digested, absorbed…and passed on. The Change affects small fast-breeding mammals first. They multiply with the same aggressive speed as the ExoGen plants, but an insatiable hunger drives them to violence. Awesome trilogy , could have been double set. I think it was well written but seamed a little rushed at the end.

Michael Talbot and his crew are sailing happily along aboard their nuclear aircraft carrier, The USS Jimmy Carter, building an ideal community, saving the planet from zombies and madmen in ports far and wide and...nope. That's some other book. The gang's out to sea alright, but under the worst possible meaning of the phrase.

I don't know how bit it keeps getting worse for him. The light at the end or at least I hope is that he and his squad make it to the other side. If not wiser then better prepare for the next collision with fate.

Thirty-nine was a fantastic year. I was married to the man I loved. I had a body that worked without creaking. My grandma, who raised me, was still healthy, and life was pretty damned good. But as they say, all good things come to an end. One year later, I’m a widow. My joints are starting to ache. Gram is in the nursing home, and dead people think my home is some kind of supernatural bed-and-breakfast. Gluing body parts onto semi-transparent people has become a side job - deceased people I’m not even sure are actually there.

Story
Cassie Palmer is the Pythia, chief seer of the supernatural world. John Pritkin is a half demon and a legendary war mage. Mircea Basarab is a first-level master vampire and the general of the World Vampire Senate. Each is formidable enough alone. But they recently discovered that, together, they are far more than the sum of their parts. With their power combined through a perilous spell, they are the closest thing left on Earth to one of the ancient gods. That comes in handy, considering that the old gods are exactly what the supernatural community is currently fighting.

I enjoy the series but, it’s starting to get annoying.
Reviewed: 11-20-23
I’ve listened to this series anew every time a new book comes out. I understood why the main character, at first bumbled around without a clue, but she’s doesn’t seem to learn or understand anything still, and we are on what book now? And what happened to Thomas?
Still like the books because it’s kinda hilarious to see how low her IQ can drop yet still find a way out of what ever hijinks she puts herself in. Not digging the new narrator though.

I’m not sure if this series is about to get better or drive me insane. It seems like it might get interesting again and I hope that is the case. But if one more main character dies, I’m not sure if I want to see it to the end.

I debated on buying this book, I wondered if it was worth the purchase. I took a chance and I’m so glad I did.
Most the backstories of the secondary characters are in this book. I hope there is another book continuing these stories and giving backstories to the others. Loved it

I am an avid audiobook listener. I’ve been listening since my first data temp job at 18. I was sitting next a co-working zoning out one minute and laughing out loud the next (I thought she was crazy). I finally asked what she was listening to and she handed me a small case with a number of cassettes with the title of a book on the front. She let me borrow the ones she had already listened to and my love for audiobooks began.
Long story short, this series has reminded me of my first listen and how much I LOVE getting lost in another’s imagination. This series has made my top 10, which is no small feat with an average of 7-10 audiobooks listens a week for almost 20 years. I’ve had to force myself to stop listening at night, so I can get a couple hours sleep and find out what happens next.

I really dig these books. But the past few of them have become somewhat of a love, hate relationship. Half the time I wonder how many times the DMS can be singled out and targeted and still be a “covert agency”. The other half is wondering, if they have such a bad ass computer why they don’t spend a little more time protecting their own asses from being hurt and vicariously their loved ones.
Also why don’t they use those under armor protection suits that would safeguard them from damage under their bulletproof vests? Most of their injuries are from broken or cracked ribs from bullets, or damage from an explosion.

Story
The only possible thing that could make Morgan's world even more difficult happened. The Japanese fleet off the coast of California was wiped out. An even that Morgan and friends and family only knew about because of the radio broadcasts from the Radio Free Redoubt. So far removed from them it barely warranted notice. That is until the Chinese retaliated by launching a nuclear counter-strike against Mac Dill Air Force base. This, did warrant their attention and had the potential to profoundly impact their lives.
