Story
The youngest, half-goblin son of the Emperor has lived his entire life in exile, distant from the Imperial Court and the deadly intrigue that suffuses it. But when his father and three sons in line for the throne are killed in an "accident", he has no choice but to take his place as the only surviving rightful heir. Entirely unschooled in the art of court politics, he has no friends, no advisors, and the sure knowledge that whoever assassinated his father and brothers could make an attempt on his life at any moment.

Love this one

This story had mystery, court and political intrigue, romance...and a protagonist that had me wanting to give him hugs while I beat the crap out of his adversaries. Throughly enjoyed it have have listened multiple times. The narrator is very talented with accents and conveyed different aged characters and genders convincingly.

Story
In 2004, Doctor Damien Howard's 131st birthday celebration took an unexpected turn. His personal SETI project detected an extraterrestrial signal directed at Earth. Unfortunately, Dr. Howard's long-hoped-for communication contained a message of dire warning rather than greeting. In 1945, humanity had become a species of galactic interest and was given 100 years to address the issue.

Dr G is an engaging speaker, I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. He has gone through all the research on diet and weight loss and shows what works and what doesn't. He also made a free app for smartphones where you can track your progress with the daily dozen & tweaks.
His puns and dad jokes are epic and add some lightness to what otherwise may have been dry material.
