Story
Mankind has lorded over the land of Illian for a thousand years, building on the ruins left by the elves, as if it were their birthright. A thousand years is a long time for an immortal race to see the truth of things, a truth that has remained unsaid for a millennium - elves are superior. They are faster, stronger, and connected to the magical realm in a way that man could never grasp. Illian should belong to them.

Worth it

I loved the story. The writing is great. The only issue I had was with the narration. I could not tell which character was talking. In a conversation between two people, you can normally tell who it is because the narrator will usually have different voices for the characters but with this, it’s the same voice, and it becomes hard telling who is saying what.
Apart from that, good book worth listening to.

Story
What if anything you wrote became true? When an angry dwarf at a traveling carnival promises Roger something that could change his life, he never thought it would come in the form of a magic pen. Now, anything the introverted college student writes becomes true, and with its power, he'll finally be able to take revenge on the bullies who have tormented him. There's just one problem. A group of assassins will do anything to get the pen, he accidentally made a entire squad of dancers into slaves, and his best friend somehow got an all-powerful mech. Maybe that's three problems....

Don’t expect too much and you’ll enjoy your self

This book had been showing up in my recommendations for a while now. I was intrigued by the premise but the reviews for he book put me off, and I didn’t want to waste my credit on something that wasn’t going to be good. I finally gave in and boy am I glad.
My advice, lower your expectations. Don’t expect it to be mind blowing. It’s not. The idea is great. The way it’s told is great. But it could have been better. That being said, I really did enjoy it. It’s a light hearted, fun fantasy.
The main reason I did end up getting it was because of Luke Daniels. I’ve heard him narrate other books and knew that even if the book was bad he’d make it worth listening to, and he does not disappoint. He does an excellent job at bringing the characters to life like he does in every book he narrates. Excellent performance.

Good story but needs another narrator

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I wouldn't recommend this book mainly because the narrator was horrible. the story line is good, but the narration ruins it completely. sounded like a children's book when it came from his voice.
