Another great Claudia Rose mystery
Reviewed: 08-06-21
This latest in Sheila Lowe's series of Forensic Mysteries is even better than the ones before. Characters Claudia Rose and her neice Monica immerse us in their heart-stopping adventures through Egypt, London, and even Tuscon, Arizona. They solve situations of artifact stealing, terrorism, and a wrongful murder charge with their courage and the help of Claudia's handwriting analysis skills. A thoroughly intriguing mystery.

Story
The widow of a rich older man, Paige Sorensen is younger than - and hated by - her stepchildren. And they’re dead set on proving that Paige forged their father’s signature on his will, which left his entire estate, including the Sorensen Academy, to her. Intrigued by this real-life soap opera, Claudia soon breaks one of the cardinal rules of business: Never get personally involved. But Claudia has grown attached to a troubled Sorensen student, and when disaster strikes, she’ll realize that reading between the lines can mean the difference between life and death.

Claudia meets Annabelle
Reviewed: 12-05-20
I am an audiobook fan of these Forensic Mystery Books but the first few audiobooks are being released last. So now I'm getting the backstory and this book 2 is where Claudia meets Annabelle. They are my two favorite characters, each a strong female who constantly clash and constantly admire each other. The sparks flying between them charge up the fascinating tidbits of handwriting forensics interspersed in all their challenging situations. Being a handwriting analysis lover and a mystery lover, this book is a perfect listen for me. I highly recommend it to all.

Story
Sheila Lowe’s mysteries “just keep getting better” (American Chronicle) thanks to feisty forensic handwriting expert Claudia Rose, who knows that when it comes to solving a murder, sometimes, the pen can be mightier than the sword. Claudia heads to the Big Apple at the behest of Grusha Olinetsky, the notorious founder of an elite dating service whose members are mysteriously dying. The assignment puts Claudia at odds with her boyfriend, LAPD detective Joel Jovanic, who suspects Grusha herself is trouble.

Great Grapho-Mystery & Great character.
Reviewed: 11-12-19
Claudia Rose is a great character to follow as she uses her graphology (also called handwriting analysis) skills to determine who at the dating-match company has the potential to kill. As the number of murders grows, Claudia's list of suspects narrows, with her escapes from harm narrowing along with it. As a graphologist and as a mystery lover, I adore the personal and forensic mysteries that Claudia Rose solves.

The unique feature of Sheila Lowe’s mysteries is the use of handwriting analysis to solve the crimes. The handwriting also provides unique insights into the story’s colorful personalities. The ink slinging tattoo artist culture provides an engrossing setting and all the characters are so real they feel like they’re in the room with you. I was captivated from beginning to end. I highly recommend this audiobook

Story
In the dead of winter, handwriting expert Claudia Rose journeys to Maine to retrieve a manuscript about convicted female serial killer, Roxanne Becker. The manuscript, written by Professor Madeleine Maynard, who was, herself, brutally murdered, exposes a shocking secret: explosive research about a group of mentally unstable grad students selected for a special project and dubbed “Maynard’s Maniacs”. Was Madeleine conducting research that was at best, unprofessional - and at worst, downright harmful and potentially dangerous? Could that unorthodox research have turned deadly?

Immensely enjoyed this!

I enjoyed this book immensely from two points of view. Firstly, as a handwriting analyst, I enjoyed how cleverly and profoundly handwriting analysis was interwoven into the story and used to enhance the depth of each character. And secondly, I was captivated by the whodunit mystery with twists and turns that unfolded masterfully till the very end. The reader also had an enjoyable, clear voice that suited the main character. I highly recommend listening to this book.

What did you love best about What She Saw?
This story is both a psychological and physical thriller with constant twists and turns. Every time I thought I knew what to expect I was wrong by a mile. Interesting concept, engaging characters, constant intrigue, and having it include handwriting analysis, which is a great interest of mine, was a big bonus.
