In 1814, Atlas Catesby, a brilliant adventurer and youngest son of a baron, is anxious to resume his world travels after a carriage accident left him injured in London. Good Book

I really liked this story but I didn’t like Mr Davies’ narration. He separated the voices very well but he dropped his voice too often. I had to keep asking my Alexa to get louder and then softer — couldn’t find a happy medium. I will check to see if audible has the next Atlas Catesby mystery and, if it is not narrated by Mr. Davies, I will purchase it; otherwise, I’ll buy a hard copy.

ROMANCE WITH FAITH
Reviewed: 02-21-23
I loved reading this romance novel that included faith. This is the first one I've come across and I hope to find more. I've not yet read the next two in the series but I'm looking forward to it. Liz Pearce, the narrator, was great!

Story
Since his return from war, the Duke of Ashbury's to-do list has been short and anything but sweet: brooding, glowering, menacing London ne'er-do-wells by night. Now there's a new item on the list. He needs an heir - which means he needs a wife. When Emma Gladstone, a vicar's daughter turned seamstress, appears in his library wearing a wedding gown, he decides on the spot that she'll do.

I'd love another like it!

It was a great book. I laughed out loud several times! This was my first time with Mary Jane Wells as a narrator and she was great. The sex was just enough -- I didn't feel as if I was in the room with them and the scenes were never too long.

Too much sex. No plot. Simon Prebble is great as always. I will try the next in the series and if the sex outweighs the plot, it will be the last Cynster Series book I read.

This was a great read. I liked the fact that the male lead was not your run of the mill elite. Ms Laurens really fleshed out his character. I liked that the female lead was not your run of the mill gently bred woman. She was at a crossroads, recognized it and looked for ways to move ahead. There was a nice twist at the end. The narrator was fabulous.
