Do you want a hand in determining the future of the country you love? Then you absolutely must read this before you vote in the 2020 presidential election. This book written by a family member may help to explain some of the things that we currently see. Warning yes it is a current politics book. Not everyone will like everything they hear read with discretion. But in my opinion, I think Mary deserves a well done for putting her country above herself or her family in this instance. However other readers may have a differing opinion from my own and that's okay because after all, we are a democracy and everyone's opinion should matter.

These are questions that young Tommy (pronounced toe-me must struggle to answer for himself in order to find his place in the world around him. Why because the year is 1941 and the United States is at war. Ordinarily, this wouldn't be a big problem for someone this boy's age given that they probably be busy with school and other things but Tommy well he has a slight problem. What problem you ask, if you'd like to know that I highly recommend you begin reading under the blood-red sun by Graham Saulsberry it's the first book in a four-book series of historical fiction books suitable for readers of about 12 or so. Why 12 kids well because then you'll be roughly around the same age as the boy in the story. It's time for an indenture. Happy reading to all, PS. Story
Three Days in Hell, action-packed from start to finish, is the story of Confederate General Bushrod Johnson's Chickamauga as told through the eyes and words of one of his staff officers, Major Chester Rigby. The author takes you onto the battlefield as no one has done before. He plunges you right into the center of the action, which doesn't let up until the very end. It's a story of heroism, desperate deeds, and death and destruction on a scale the likes of which had never been seen before.

History lives again.
Reviewed: 08-01-20
Three days and hell by Blair Howard tells the story of the battle of Chickamauga. This battle is one that may not be as well known to some as are other battles of the American Civil War. Mr. Howard does a good job of blending true accounts with his own character. The author has many other titles also related to the Civil War, a list of which may be heard at the end of the story. He also gives his own explanations so be sure to stay tuned for those. If you are interested in history or in puzzling out the details as to which parts of historical fiction are true and which are not, a game you can play as you read in this genre, and one that can help younger readers of about middle or high school age to develop an ere for picking up on and remembering context and plot clues as well as plot sequencing events, then this book might be a good starting place for you. Historical fiction such as is found in this book may be a more pleasurable way to learn your American Civil War history if you're a student. But students fair warning do your research before you use any answers in class not all of this will be real it's up to you to find out what is good hunting. For those of you who are not students but just like to read Mr. Howard provides a good story told in a first-person account I would recommend this one if you're looking for a short trip back in time. For any American Civil War enthusiasts you'll like this book too. Happy reading everyone. PS. LOL no I'm not a teacher.

Story
A news-breaking memoir revealing the secret, high level negotiations that could soon transform the map of the Middle East. Why would a sitting head of state choose to write about the most explosive issues he faces? King Abdullah does so now because he believes we face a moment of truth: a last chance for peace in the Middle East. The prize is enormous; the cost of failure far greater than we dare imagine.

If you could sum up Our Last Best Chance in three words, what would they be?
Unexpected , Instructive and helpful to those willing to listen.
Who was your favorite character and why?
King Abdullah is an unexpected friend to the American people just as his father was before him .He is a king so we don't always get to see the man behind the position. this book gives us a glimpse. allowing us to see a side of H.M. and the middle east we may not have thought about before. H.M. seems to like to share information about his culture. some of the politics can be hard to hear but I think it is worth it and you might better understand why HM. has made some of the choices he has.
Have you listened to any of Nadim Sawalha’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No I haven't heard any other books, While not his fault if you are not used to a middle eastern accent a few words may be hard to understand. But that too is worth it.
What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?
That;s hard to Chose i think it will be different for each reader.
Any additional comments?
to learn more about Jordan and the Royal Family look for leap of faith and the King's Courser which is about King Hussain of Jordan

Story
Mags was a Trainee in the Heraldic Collegium in Haven, Valdemar’s capital city. Though his background of poverty and abuse at Cole Pieters’ gem mine set him apart from most other trainees, nonetheless he had found his own group of friends. Bear, Lena, and Amily were all students whose situations in life set them apart from more usual Trainees. The four of them had found mutual support in their shared misfortunes, and together struggled to help one another find solutions to their individual problems.

it's hard to pick just one. so my top four are; Mags Nicholas kaylin and Keral (the king)

Story
Filmmaker Steve McCarthy explores the meaning of heroism by discovering the life of his friend, Captain Paddy Brown, New York's most decorated fireman who died on 9/11. McCarthy starts with Brown's incredible acts of heroism, saving people from flames, breathing life into fire victims. Eventually, McCarthy finds a more complicated subtext: Brown's childhood in an alcoholic home, his abuse by priests, his rape at age 13, his traumatic tour of duty as a Marine in Vietnam, his string of lovers.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. Finding Paddy is a biography that tells the story of the life of F.D.N.Y. Captain Patrick J. Brown(Paddy to his friends.) anyone looking an example of heroism in todays world to tell your kids about or even fallow yourself would be well served to look here I think. No from the sound of it this Gentleman was not perfect but he can be seen as someone who may have made mistakes but learned to pick himself up and try again A good thing to learn for everyone.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Finding Paddy?
for me it was finding out that Capt. Brown had been a Vietnam veteran as well as a Firefighter.
Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite scenes are the ones in which you find out just how much of a Fireman's Fireman Capt. Brown was willing to be.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
The quite Hero

Mags was an orphan and slave of ‘bad blood’ who toiled in a gem mine all his young life. He would have died before adulthood, had he not been Chosen and taken to Haven to be trained in the new Herald Collegium. Now, Mags was never hungry and never cold. He slept in a real bed in his own room and, most importantly, he had Dallen, who was like another part of himself. And yet, aside from Lena and Bear, both loners like he was, he couldn’t relate to most of the trainees.
