Another great book!

However, the narrator sounds like a modern speak and spell, over emphasizing on almost every word. Need someone who sounds like Sam Elliot to reread the whole collection.

Story
How much is a girl's virginity worth? Apparently mine was only worth $500. At least, that's what I felt like I sold it for. Both his hands reached out and grabbed my small breasts, squeezing them through my dress. My breasts weren't large, and my dress wasn't one you'd usually wear a bra with, so there was only the one piece of fabric between his palms and my sensitive tits.

The Alliance Fleet mounts a major campaign against a deadly warlord. Tyrant Ysanne Isard has taken control of Thyferra, intending to use its supply of medicinal bacta to destabilize and destroy the New Republic. Undermanned and deprived of Alliance support, Rogue Squadron must oppose Isard's plans, defeat her Star Destroyer fleet, and free Thyferra from her rule in a winner-take-all battle against a seemingly superior force.

Hard listen for a 'core' Star Wars fan

What didn’t you like about Anthony Heald’s performance?
Everybody is an old man with this readers voice.
Any additional comments?
I have read all the books and looked forward to listening at work. The first three were rough with Henry Thomas; barley into book 4 and wishing they were done by Mr Thomas. Seems these books were read by whom ever would do the work. Fictional stories need to be done by those who can perform a miriad of voices. Christian Rummel, who narrated The Lost Fleet series, would be a great improvement. His ability made listening to a story I had never read/heard before, an amzing jorney.

They are the X-wing fighters: sleek, swift, and deadly. And as the struggle rages across the vastness of space, the fearless men and women who pilot them risk both their lives and their machines. Their mission: to defend the Rebel Alliance against a still powerful and battle-hardened Imperial foe in a last ditch effort to control the stars!

Is there anything you would change about this book?
An unabridged read.
What did you like best about this story?
Ambiant sounds during scenes.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Pronunciation accuracy of specific 'Star Wars' names, ships, planets, etc. Obviously the reader hasn't been a fan for long, if at all.
Could you see Star Wars being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
I've read this series a few times and think there is plenty of substance for TV or movies. Hopefully not by the sci-fi channel... They can't match the CG or the casting to keep up with the original movies.

Story
Captain John "Black Jack" Geary's legendary exploits are known to every schoolchild. Revered for his heroic "last stand" in the early days of the war, he was presumed dead. But a century later, Geary miraculously returns from survival hibernation and reluctantly takes command of the Alliance fleet as it faces annihilation by the Syndics.
Appalled by the hero-worship around him, Geary is nevertheless a man who will do his duty. And he knows that bringing the stolen Syndic hypernet key safely home is the Alliance's one chance to win the war. But to do that, Geary will have to live up to the impossibly heroic "Black Jack" legend.
