it took me 3 hours to realize...

this is a follow-up to the dirty blood series. they do not say that in any of the description but I started recognizing character names and realize that this entire book series is a spin-off from the dirty blood series. it takes one of the side characters from dirty blood and puts her into the main role with some of the other characters from the series. it's really hard to follow if you haven't just read the dirty blood series but if you have this is great follow-up I suppose... I'm actually going to stop reading it go back and reread the dirty blood series because it's been a few years and then I will continue with this book so I feel more caught up.

a little too much fantasy for even a fantasy lover

this book series was almost painful to get through the only reason I listened to the whole thing is because I had bought all of them already.
I love cheesy fantasy/romance books but this was legitimately just stupid. the characters were underdeveloped even the main character. you legitimately didn't even know who the villains were till the second book and when you find out that they're basically ghosts run by a rose bush your mind just completely starts to stop listening to whatever they're saying finding it very hard to get through it and pay attention.
I love trash books but this one just belongs in the trash.
