Story
After a harrowing escape from Russian agents on his last mission, Charles Jenkins thinks he’s finally done with the spy game. But then the final two of the seven sisters—American assets who have been deep undercover in Russia for decades—cut off all communication with their handlers. Are they in hiding after detecting surveillance? Or have they turned and become double agents? It’s Jenkins’s duty to find out, but he’s been added to a Russian kill list. It will require all of Jenkins’s knowledge of spycraft—and an array of disguises—to return to the country undetected.

I just hate that DS Riley is so overly righteous. Even to the point of putting his loved ones at risk. he was all super macho like making this arrest was going to bring some people down. he's a glory hog. can't wait to listen to book 4.

This whole story was just in your face. Even knowing the main characters and their motivations, you are still caught up in how is it going to work out. I really enjoyed that upfront we knew Sophie was bad and that we got to develop how bad as the story continued.
it was exciting to the end

Becca still can't remember the night 16-year-old Jessica disappeared from a party, never to be seen again. Which is bad enough (especially since she was supposedly the last person to see Jessica alive), but it's not the worst.... Strange events are making Becca think there's a link between what happened to Jessica 15 years ago and the darkness happening now. With help from her friends and her teenage crush, Daniel, Becca races against time to uncover the truth about Jessica before another 16-year-old girl is doomed to the same fate as Jessica....

I just felt like we spent too much time in 6 Becca's head. Sometimes, it felt more filler and didn't have any real bearing on character or story development. more time in actual conversations, even with Aunt Charlie and Pat, would have been better. obviously, there are some psychological and super natural elements in play, but it doesn't feel like attention and details are going into some of those key moments. Hopefully, I'm going into book 3 there's less whinning and self-talk from Becca and more dialog between the characters. The books are good, and the storyline works for me I would just like to see a little growth from the main character. lastly I'm down with the 2nd shot for Becca and Daniel, but every interaction shouldn't have an element of hostility.

Story
Some lines should never be crossed. Police corruption, an investigation that ends in tragedy and the mystery of a little girl’s silence – three unconnected events that will prove to be linked by one small town. While detective Cormac Reilly faces enemies at work and trouble in his personal life, garda Peter Fisher is relocated out of Galway with the threat of prosecution hanging over his head. But even that is not as terrible as having to work for his overbearing father, the local copper for the pretty seaside town of Roundstone.
