GREAT STORY OF REAL PEOPLE
Reviewed: 07-15-14
Would you consider the audio edition of Tested by Fire to be better than the print version?
All audiobooks are better than the printed version if only because they have greater depth. The narrators gave this one a lot of feeling in the characters and really brought them to life.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Tested by Fire?
The fight on the house boat but then there are so many fights it is hard to pick out the best one.
Which character – as performed by Joshua Bennington – was your favorite?
I loved the voices that Joshua Bennington gave the female characters. He seams to be able to bring them to life. I particularly liked the voice of his partner, Sharon.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I was moved when the little boy coughed up the obstruction from his trachea and could live for another day.
Any additional comments?
Loved the audiobook and would highly recommend it!

Story
This audiobook is a delightful light-hearted tale about boating. It is the memoir of a lifelong boater, written from the perspective of a person who has not made a living at sea but is just there because he enjoys being on the water. The audiobook has stories about his pets on board and about the people he meets traveling the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) to the Gulf Intracoastal Waterways (GIWW). He traveled extensively for 10 years in a Grand Banks trawler. This journey has been just part of his lifelong boating adventures seeking that elusive boating paradise.
