Story
A “fascinating psychological thriller” (Baltimore Sun), this entrancing novel introduces Isserley, a female driver who scouts the Scottish Highlands for male hitchhikers with big muscles. She herself is tiny - like a kid peering up over the steering wheel. Scarred and awkward, yet strangely erotic and threatening, Isserley listens to her passengers as they open up to her, revealing clues about who might miss them should they disappear - and then she strikes. What happens to her victims next is only part of a terrifying reality.

As good as the movie but different.

It’s a book, so it has words. I don’t like that as much as the creepy film spectacle, but they’re enjoyable words nonetheless.

I don’t think there was a reason to write this. I thought something interesting might happen later on, but it didn’t. By the numbers. Not glad I bothered.

Don’t read your own material if you sound like this.

The quality of the writing is worlds beyond the narration. It’s like a Frankenstein’s monster learning to use its new mishmash of various animal throat parts. Annoying pitch wavering, uneven vocal pacing, and mispronounced words. The recording quality isn’t good enough either.

Author got old, and doesn't want to go to Hell. This is a disguised sermon. I'm astounded that Sam Harris would speak with this snake oil salesman.

Story
A smart and funny book by a prominent Harvard psychologist, which uses groundbreaking research and (often hilarious) anecdotes to show us why we’re so lousy at predicting what will make us happy–and what we can do about it. Most of us spend our lives steering ourselves toward the best of all possible futures, only to find that tomorrow rarely turns out as we had expected. Why? As Harvard psychologist Daniel Gilbert explains, when people try to imagine what the future will hold, they make some basic and consistent mistakes.

You've got to tell the talent when they're saying a word wrong, over and over and over! Too distracting.
