I was completely captivated by Johnson's heartwarming, heart-wrenching novel. His exquisitely drawn protagonist is an unlikely heroine. The settings are masterfully drawn and the plot races along from one twist to another. I'm heading straight for Johnson's next book. If you're a fan of Where the Crawdads Sing or The Orphan Train, this book is for you.

Amanda Prowse is the queen of the heartwarming family drama. Her characters struggle with the life challenges we all face in ways that show us that grace can always find you through the kindness of others. I've read many of her books and repeatedly say "yes--I've felt exactly that way." Full of humor, compassion, and wisdom, readers are Very Very Lucky to pick up this new offering.

Leland's compelling memoir is a must read for all of us. His research and historical insights provide a fascinating context for how we view and understand blindness in society. His courage in taking us inside his thoughts, feelings, and actions during his declining visual acuity is gripping. This memoir shines a light on the dangerous exclusivity of ableism. As society faces 21st century challenges, this book reminds us that we cannot afford to exclude anyone's contributions.

In this fast-paced, page-turner, J W Judge creates a fantastical world with one foot in present day Birmingham. His compelling characters--notable his strong female protagonist Agatha--draw you in and won't let you go. With lots of action, vivid description, and dialogue that jumps from the page. this novel is a sure to please everyone who enjoys the genre. I'm starting on the next book in the series now.

This smart, witty installment in the Cape Code Foodie series is a complete delight. With charming, quirky characters that I've come to know and love, twists and turns galore, a setting that is a love story to the Cape, and culinary tips that have me reaching for a pen and paper, this novel has it all. My favorite book of the summer. Highly recommend. I'm anxiously awaiting the next book in the series!

Tonya Kappes' Fixin' to Die is a welcome addition to the cozy mystery genre. With an original cast of characters (dead or alive) and enough twists and turns to keep me guessing until the end, this book had me turning pages until well after my bedtime. Highly recommend!
