The science is very well explained in the first part of the book. The personal choice and policy implications are later explained. Dr Lustig lists what can be done on all fronts in a succinct step by step process.
Overall, the problem and how to deal with it are well laid out.

This is a very thoughtful and touching story about one man's pursuit of a virtuous life and how he deals with cancer and death. He lays out his thoughts and emotions... his whole life as he goes from healthy to the verge of death. The important questions are addressed in a way that allows the reader to feel the experience but also forces the reader to confront our mortality.

Easy read with sufficient examples to be very practical. The author gets you to understand and empathise with the anxious child's state. He also does a good job of explaining how many typical parental responses can be improved upon.

This is a very informative book. The arguments are well constructed, explanations are clear. It is explained in a bit of a dry and academic fashion however.
I recommend this book for anyone interested in international povery and inequality.

Valuable insights, well told story. Need for narative sometimes has precedence over thoughtful content. There is an attempt to be relevant to everyone in stating that the insights are just as valid for businesses as for individuals. This pre-designed breadth involves a sacrifice pf depth.
This said, there are very valid insights in this book and it has good entertainment value as well.
