Story
Meet the Wolf. Joe Wolf. He’s the head of a multibillion-dollar empire—a newspaper, a holding company, a football team—and the head of a family that puts King Lear to shame. His empire shows signs of crumbling when he’s approached with an “offer” to sell. It’s clear from the start that Joe is going to pay the ultimate price—and maybe more—if he refuses.

Hardly ever write a review, but this was terrible. Antiquated male/female views and writing. Zero respect for the characters and story- if a good story is in there. Don’t bother.

Everyone in the small town of Denton is searching for Isabelle Coleman, a missing 17-year-old girl. All they've found so far is her phone and another girl they didn't even know was missing. Mute and completely unresponsive to the world around her, it's clear this mysterious girl has been damaged beyond repair. All Detective Josie Quinn can get from her is a name: Ramona. Currently suspended from the force for misconduct, Josie takes matters into her own hands as the name leads her to evidence linking the two girls.

Great story with distracting narrator.

The story was compelling but the narrator was so off on pronunciation to be a full on distraction. Terrible choice for a narrator. Will actively avoid her narration in the future

A story, simple in its beginning evolves to a complex one with characters to match. Transported to the heat of Kenya, its beauty and tragedy are shown through innocent eyes coming of age during a revolution of both personal and cultural nature. Highly recommend.

Story
Clare and Henry have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was 36. They were married when Clare was 23 and Henry was 31. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future. His disappearances are spontaneous, his experiences unpredictable, alternately harrowing and amusing.

The book could've been so much better with a few properly chosen words. The crude slang sex was wrong for the story line. To create the correct momentum to the end, the elimination of the cheating would have been better.
