This story spoke to me. I currently dont communicate with my mom. How do u get over the betrayal and heartache? I'm still learning to grow but idk if I can grow that much. but u give me hope that 1 day she will be able to love me the way I once loved her. Thank you.

Incredible story on how to be REAL!

If you've ever questioned who you are or how you got where you are, I hope you'll listen to this story. We are far more alike than we are different. It takes courage to be real, to accept what we contribute to our own storyline. Despite how far we've come, women still suffer more than men when faced with society's expectations.

Enjoyed Book.

I enjoyed Book, but feel Demi plays victim just as she claims her mom did. She blames everyone else for her actions and never really takes responsibility. The way her parents raised her, her ex husband's, etc...all to blame. At a certain age we must decide for ourselves that this is the choice we are making, and stop blaming others for those poor choices. with that said, she is great at telling her story and putting all of her secrets out there has got to be hard. I liked the book.

I didn't know that I could relate so much to someone else's inner life. The life events might differ but the emotions! Phew! I remember this place you were in and how I got out and it's just one big; Yes! Exactly!

Deeply engrossing

Never had a real interest in Demi. I love a good memory though and this was great. Well written, I listened to it in less than 4 days.
