""A romantic comedy that's fun and flirty, young and fresh."" – Popsugar (22 of the Best Books This Winter Has to Offer)

One of Oprah Magazine's 22 Romance Novels That Are Set to Be the Best of 2020

Mia Sosa delivers a sassy, steamy #ownvoices enemies-to-lovers novel, perfect for fans of Jasmine Guillory, Helen Hoang, and Sally Thorne!

A wedding planner left at the altar? Yeah, the irony isn’t lost on Carolina Santos, either. But despite that embarrassing blip from her past, Lina’s offered an opportunity that could change her life. There’s just one hitch… she has to collaborate with the best (make that worst) man from her own failed nuptials.

Marketing expert Max Hartley is determined to make his mark with a coveted hotel client looking to expand its brand. Then he learns he’ll be working with his brother’s whip-smart, stunning—absolutely off-limits—ex-fiancée. And she loathes him.

If they can nail their presentation without killing each other, they’ll both come out ahead. Except Max has been public enemy number one ever since he encouraged his brother to jilt the bride, and Lina’s ready to dish out a little payback of her own.

Soon Lina and Max discover animosity may not be the only emotion creating sparks between them. Still, this star-crossed couple can never be more than temporary playmates because Lina isn’t interested in falling in love and Max refuses to play runner-up to his brother ever again...

The male narrator was not good at all. I can’t even finish this audio book because his voice is so distracting ESPECIALLY when he does a female’s voice. This story is so good, but I’ll buy the kindle edition because I can’t listen to the guy. Female narrator is amazing.

This was my first Mia Sosa book and it most definitely won't be my last. The Worst Best Man was a magnificently written love story. It was infused with witty banter, Brazilian culture, sizzling chemistry, and family. Lina and Max are unintentional enemies turned business colleagues turned lovers turned more. The character vulnerability and growth felt relatable and perfectly paced. Their growing admiration was so organic. I laughed and hoped and ached with these characters. I fell hard for Lina, Max, and their friends and family. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series and hopefully get more glimpses of this awesome cast of characters.

The narrators did a wonderful job inflecting and bringing emotion to the dialogue. The performances aided in visualization of the story.

This book should be a movie. Netflix, get on it. I say Netflix because the intimate scenes will likely make you want to get intimate with your partner, and a movie theater, though it would be a rush, is not the most accommodating place.

One request, when you make the movie Netflix, the dialog must be verbatim. I want all the quirks, cheestastic jokes and nuances that were detailed in the book. Also, I want the actors to be represented exactly as they are in the book.

It really was a fun read. I do hope it's picked up, Amazon I'm speaking to you as well. It could even be a short series.

Everyone should give it a listen.

Beautiful and Funny, justice the characters.

This is definitely in my top romances of 2020. Mia Sosa knows how to write characters that hop off the page. I love this book and Max and Lena ❤️

The story was a bit over the top in parts and hard to believe, but that might have been ok if not for the Male narrator giving all the (Latina) women lisps. A lisp is not an accent. Rebecca Mozo was wonderful, but what an unfortunate choice by her narrating partner.

Wayne Mitchell lisps in place of an accent
