As I listened and laughed along with the many others who were fortunate (and smart enough) to get a copy of this book, I soon realized just how many folks there are that struggle with the labels that society has forced upon us. Whether it’s based upon sexual identity, race, religion, political, socioeconomic or whatever else people find a cause to cast divisive labels, some just love to be condescending to people who they deem unworthy or different than them. I’m glad Leslie Jordon seems to be happy being himself. Along with all of the humor, there are moments that you may find tears streaming down your cheeks as he recounts the many events in his life. I’m most impressed by the positivity that he chooses to embrace. Thank you for sharing your story with us Leslie Jordon and please don’t stop making us laugh and believing that we really are all in this together.

Delightful, Funny and Vulnerable - Everything I Could Hope For

The title says it all. I loved this book from beginning to end and it was made all the better because Leslie Jordan read it. I have been a fan since I saw him on Will & Grace the first time around - he’s just a joy to watch perform. This book did not disappoint, the stories were heartfelt and honest (except when he ridiculously exaggerated) and made me
Reflect on my own life too.

Heartwarming & Entertaining

Leslie Jordan’s voice is a delight to listen to and his conversational style book is an easy one to listen to. He led an interesting life and I was hooked from the first sentence. I recommend this book to anyone that just likes to hear good stories. He was a gifted character actor but even if you didn’t see him in any shows, you will be entertained by his story and be a better person for it.
