Betty Edwards
Millions of readers have embraced art teacher Betty Edwards's Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, from art students and teachers to established artists, corporate trainers, and more--all discovering a bold new way of drawing and problem-solving based on what we see, not what we think we see.
In this highly anticipated follow-up, Edwards illuminates another piece of the creativity puzzle, revealing the role our dominant eye plays in how we perceive, create, and are seen by those around us. Research shows that much like being right-handed or left-handed, each of us has a dominant eye, corresponding to the dominant side of our brain--either verbal or perceptual. Once you learn the difference and try your hand at the simple drawing exercises, you'll gain fresh insights into how you perceive, think, and create. You'll learn how to not just look but truly see.
This remarkable guided tour through art history, psychology, and the creative process is a must-listen for anyone looking for a richer understanding of our art, our minds, and ourselves.
*This audiobook contains a downloadable PDF of tests for eye dominance, drawing exercises, a glossary, and select artwork from the book.

Thanks for your latest newest book.
What I’ve liked about this book is of two things:
1) The accompanying PDFs. 2) How you teach the reader/listener to learn to draw on the dominant eye.
Hope this review has been completely helpful for today and tomorrow.

As far as the book itself goes, it was good enough. I don’t know if I would have enjoyed reading the physical book more than listening. There are some drawing activities in the chapters (which are available on an accompanying PDF) that would have been easier to comprehend by reading g and doing than they were by listening. The author goes really deep into history and mythology, as well as repeating whole paragraphs in more than one chapter. That considered, I may have ended up mentally checking out or getting bored and setting the book down if I wasn't doing other things with my hands while listening.
