In Dracula's Child, Bram Stoker's classic is reborn. Capturing the voice, tone and style of the original, this novel is perfect for fans of Dracula and contemporary horror.

It has been some years since Jonathan and Mina Harker survived their ordeal in Transylvania. But shadows linger long in this world of blood feud and superstition - and the older their son Quincey gets, the deeper the shadows that lengthen at the heart of the Harkers' marriage.

Jonathan has turned back to drink, Mina finds herself isolated inside the confines of her own family. Quincey himself struggles to live up to a family of such high renown. There is darkness both within the marriage and without - for new evil is arising on the continent, and the vestiges of something forgotten long ago is finally beginning to stir.

But if a slow burn to start, but quickly accelerates in the second half. The narrator does a great job!

Solid story

basically a continuation of Dracula. Definitely a gothic slow burn but it pucks up at the end.

Beautifully written and imaginatively constructed. This was a
Joy to listen to, especially after registering to Bram Stoker’s original. The spirit of the original is maintained, and there are genuinely frightening moments, building toward the terrifying epilogue. Wonderful narrative acting. Truly a masterpiece.

Worthy sequel

There are so many things I enjoy about this, it’s hard to put them all in order. It felt and sounded exactly like a direct continuation of the original novel Dracula. Everything about it was well paced, the steaks were high, and the payoff was awesome. And the narration was perfect. Jonathan Keeble is always magnificent, but Emma Gregory was equal to him. A truly enjoyable listening experience.

A Worthy Successor to the Original

The performance was excellent. The story was very well written. I enjoyed it and I just noticed there is another spinoff called Lucy so I will be reading that. I don't think it's the same author but if the storyline is anything like this, it's gonna be a doozy.

Great continuation from Dracula
