This one is great

great read a lot more development and enjoyable characters. I hope to get a lot more of this

Still going strong with book 2. The Mountain king saga really hits a dark home run. the writing is fantastic and the narration is amazing.

Rollercoaster of emotions 🫣 need book 3 now.

Voice acting is incredible I love the call backs to the first series. It is weird hearing the old characters in different voices but I like it. By the end of the book I absolutely love how it was wrapped up and didn’t fall to any tropes. I found myself cracking up when his lovers randomly stop and cook him for being ugly 😂 I love how the main character is self aware and actually uses his head to think things through and TALK things through when possible. Definitely ready and waiting (pause..) for book three of mountain king 🔥👌🙂‍↕️

I did enjoy the book overall, the performances were very very good, and I will undoubtedly listen to the next book when it comes out, but some aspects of it were.... not my favorite.

The death of Sif (I believe that's her name, hard to tell with only listening) was unnecessary, especially when she just gets replaced a few chapters later with, not only an equally powerful and rare mountain troll, but one that by description looks exactly like her. That is a death that has no real consequences other than making the Main Character, not only mad, but a lot less likeable.
