A modern day Harry Turtledove

These guys do a fantastic job of creating a huge living reality, while making sure it all holds up to real world truths. The time and dedication to reality is as important as the fantastical, exciting, terrifying, and immersive story and characters. If you love grand drama on a geo political scale that cares as much about the big picture as the individual, give these guys a try. You won't be disappointed or able to put the books down.

Excellent

Excellent story, and performance. I was looking for the big unit chess match between two superpowers and this fit the bill. Similar to Clancy, very well developed storyline.

Good Story Line

The premise of the story is very real and concerning. I am looking forward to listening to the rest of the series. The narrator was very good, however he did not have an Asian accent when those folks were speaking which made the story hard to follow.

UNRESOLVED ENDING

If you like war books, you will like this book. It is well done and reminiscent of Tom Clancey's books. Just be aware that this book is not intended to be read as a stand-alone book. You need to move on to the rest of the series for the rest of the story.

Scary relevance to our world today.

As you read or listen to this book you must remind yourself you are not seeing today’s headlines. The authors did a great deal of research to make things as accurate as possible.
The book is about China utilizing AI to coordinate a war against the west. It is quite scary as one can see some of the preliminary incidents in our recent history.
I really enjoyed volume one, ready to move on to volume two. Thanks to my friend Tim Stringer for the recommendation!
