Publisher's summary

Broccoli and her closest friends have discovered a terrible plot...one that might spark a war between the Nesting Kingdom and the Kingdom of Sylphfree.

It’s up to the three of them to cross an entire continent in order to reach Sylphfree and undo the machinations of Broccoli’s mysterious nemesis. Navigating such a grand distance won’t be easy, however, not with dastardly sky pirates, dangerous dungeons, and adorable new friends to distract the bunch along the way! At this rate, Broccoli’s inability to get anywhere without sticking her neck into trouble is going to make Amaryllis shed feathers.

Three times a winner!

I love this series and took a day off work to listen to the whole thing in 1 go. Needless to say, i wasn't disappointed. If Dungeon Crawler Carl exemplifies the American LitRPG novel and He Who Fights With Monsters the Aussie LitRPG genre, then RavensDagger is the champion of Canadian LitRPG. I hope you enjoy the positivity, light hearted humor and cute as a button protagonist as much as I did and do.

Author tries really hard to take something back.

I love this series, and even enjoyed this book. I also generally don't write reviews only click on a number of stars, but i'm giving a lower score and i feel i should explain it.

About a third of the book is wasted as the author tries to take something back, but no upset fans. It's like having two characters in a book say "we are both consenting adults, and we both think that we are okay with this happening." It just feels really forced in an effort to make fans okay with her chose.

I feel this could have been done more naturally, with out such a violent and rushed focus.

Fun adventure, terrible take on romance

Let just pull the band-aid off and tackle the biggest problem of the book, Owen character feeling like she just got retconed. In the previous book Owen was madly in love with Broccoli, now she ony mildly attractive. Broccoli also already know how Owen feel about her despite everything being first pov of her and being clueless. And they introduced a character for Owen to fall in love with so Owen confession to Broccoli have less weight and so it doesn't feel as bad. Just overall terrible, terrible and lazy writting overall on a gay corner the author wrote herself into. I was looking forward to either them dating or the rejection and them consoling and continuing to be friend and showing the hurt and love that come with that, but instead I just wanted them to get over that ordeal as fast as possible. Not to say the scene were all that bad, but they were underwhelming.

Luckily once the adventure begins, the book is overall is everything people love from the series so far. outward positivity to make new friends and end conflicy, daring rescue attempt from sky pirate and more dungeon adventure. Overall its anothet fun volume that just happen to fumble when it came to the romance element.

Good Story

I like how this story has its sunshine and rainbows but also has moments that can be perceived as dark but once broccoli shows up she mostly wipes it away.
If I had one complaint it would be that somehow Broccoli is perceptive and yet dense at the same time. A lot of issues could have been solved without a lot of discussion if she would only mention that she has a quest from the world. For how open and will blatantly says things that should be kept to herself she also has this habit of not saying anything during times where what she knows should be said but she doesn't. Other than that I did enjoy the story and can't wait for another

Least favorite in series but still good

This book did not progress the story line or character development all that much. I feel like it should have been labeled book 2.5 instead of 3. Buhr is a fairly good narrator as far as characterizations go but her pronunciations are atrocious. This is particularly true of nautical terms such as gunwale, forecastle, et al. Don't get me started on "miss cheevious". It is my worst pet peeve.

Another great entry

A whole lot of fun and just as wonderful characters. My only complaint is that there was little movement in the overall story, but lots of character growth. Hope the next one won’t take too long to be released.

cute, low on offensive

I enjoyed the book series. I look forward to hearing more about cinnamon bun however it would have been nice to have more background story at the beginning or in the first book.

Mostly filler

There is basically no level progression in this story. At this pace the story will take 20 books just to get to level 40. Reading about the insanely stupid MC has become tedious. It was kind of funny in the first book but that rapidly became obnoxious. Trying to throw your life away for every random person you meet is so far beyond just stupid.
