interesting system mechanics vs faie mechanics

Proof that a simple plot full of tropes but very well written with a nice twist or two can make a solid book. Not A tier but very close.

Interesting world

The second book was just as good as the first. I wasn’t looking for a new series when I picked up the first book on sale but it appears I have a new series to read. Just enough suspense to have your purchasing the next book before this one is over.

Innovative

The system and world of this series is very original and innovative. It is so refreshing to read a new melody instead of the same old.

Great Addition to the series

People were upset with how the end of book one ended but I say it was a good thing. If the gods didn't take away his power imagine what could have happened if it was taken away in a crucial moment. Jeb is of course less powerful on paper but by the end he's almost back to his previous self and without any fancy system helping him. Plots are revealed secrets are hinted and we are left with a dark cloud on the horizon which may spell doom for all inhabitants of the world Jeb now lives in. Book 3 Sounds like it will be a blast. One way or another. Oh boy Oh boy . . . Oh boy . . . Oh Boy

Good follow up

The world building in this series is pretty nice. I'm blasting through this series and wanting to listen to more.
