Fate of the Fallen is the start of a brand-new adventure from New York Times best-selling author Kel Kade.

Not all stories have happy endings.

Everyone loves Mathias. Naturally, when he discovers it’s his destiny to save the world, he dives in headfirst, pulling his best friend, Aaslo, along for the ride.

However, saving the world isn’t as easy, or exciting, as it sounds in the stories. The going gets rough, and folks start to believe their best chance for survival is to surrender to the forces of evil, which isn’t how the prophecy goes. At all. As the list of allies grows thin and the friends find themselves staring death in the face, they must decide how to become the heroes they were destined to be or, failing that, how to survive.

I thought this book was okay. It took me a while to get engaged in the book, but it could be because I just re-listened to the entire Kings Dark Tidings series — same author and narrator.

The book did get interesting towards the end of the book. I will probably give book 2 a try, but wish Kel Kade would focus on finishing off the KDT series.

Interesting but no KDT

Created another world and it so open now. I don’t know how he will ever do KDT and this at the same time. KDT is my fav but I think that is only because there is more known of the world.

The performance is great I have enjoyed all of these kel kades work and the prom aces just get better and better. Can’t wait for the next one. What ever it will be

It’s not KDT but...

Masterfully read with lots of character voices that adds depth and dimension to the listening of the work.

Masterfully Performed

Good book although starts slow in the beginning and the narrators female voices are over effected and identical for all female characters. Gets annoying and hard in the beginning, but he either gets better -or you get used to it midway

A Good Beginning
