While the content of this book is very helpful, I find it too hard to listent to. This is my 4th audiobook, I use audible to listen to books while driving, and the constant changes in volume in almost every single sentence makes it impossible to set the volume knob to a middle range, I either miss 1/4 of the words or am deafened by shouts of another 1/4, or both.
Along with the way too long pauses between every couple of words makes me way too annoyed to keep listening continuously. Increasing the speed to 1.5 only makes the pauses even more noticeable.
I should have listened to the sample before purchasing it.

I wish one could choose different narrators. With the widespread of AI its bound to happen, hopefully audible implements it sooner than later.

As someone who utilized this author’s books to stop smoking and drinking, I have zero reasons to think this won’t be effective. The narration is great but the content is better. If you, in any way, identify as a person with an unhealthy relationship with eating, try it.

If you really want to cut out junk food and sugar, this book works! It’s the most annoying books I’ve ever listened to (and I’ve listened to over 100) BUT IT WORKS! Be prepared for tedious, repetitive arguments, said over and over in slightly different ways. BUT- it works in brainwashing you that sweets and junk food are bad. Even though I hated every minute of listening to it, I loved the results. Lost 5lb in 1 month, NO JUNK or sweet for the first time in my life. I may have to keep listening to it to reinforce it.

I literally love this author. Thanks to his teachings on how addictions work I stopped smoking, drinking alcohol and emotional eating. I read the specific books for each addiction.
I’m so grateful and thankful because I can maximize my life and live it at the full potential!
