Both the magic and the class struggle are subtly handled by Abercrombie, while the humour is delightfully rough. It's a tremendous book, as if Friedrich Engels and Terry Pratchett had agreed to collaborate in rewriting George RR Martin.

One of the best narration ever

The series are one of a kind as much as the narration, it’s just amazing.

This was really good

As expected of Joe Abercrombie. Even after reading nine books of his he was still able to surprise me. Now I can't wait to see how he will torture all the old and new characters in the following books.

Also, Steven Pacey manages to make a great book even better.

Joe doesn't let me down. I've been listening to all the audiobooks back to back and I'm in love with the style, world and most of all, the characters.
The new cast is well developed and interesting, it's hard to pick a favourite.
Super anxious to start the next book.
A true masterpiece of Grim-dark.
