The New York Times bestseller—for fans of All the Light We Cannot See and The Tattooist of Auschwitz!

Three women. One daring mission.

1946. One morning while passing through Grand Central Terminal, Grace Healey finds an abandoned suitcase tucked beneath a bench. Inside is a dozen photographs—each of a different woman. Grace soon learns that the suitcase belonged to Eleanor Trigg, leader of a network of female secret agents deployed out of London during the war. Twelve of these women were sent to Occupied Europe as couriers and radio operators to aid the resistance, but they never returned home.

Setting out to learn the truth behind the women in the photographs, Grace finds herself drawn to a young mother turned agent named Marie, whose mission overseas reveals a remarkable story of friendship, valor and betrayal. In this riveting story inspired by true events, Pam Jenoff weaves a tale of courage, sisterhood and the great strength of women to survive in the hardest of circumstances.

Don’t miss Pam Jenoff’s new novel, Last Twilight in Paris, a gripping mystery and an unforgettable story about love and survival.

great book, but sometimes when the narrator was playing the role of Grace she sounded like Marge Simpson. It made me think of the cartoon everytime I heard it.

I kept hearing Marge Simpsons voice...

I didn’t know the SOE existed! What brave young women the characters in the book were to even train for this dangerous mission! Knowing that real people actually did this is humbling.

Learned something new!

I enjoyed this book very much. The only complaint is the narrator for Grace sounded like Marg Simpson.

Great listen

Loved the story but almost couldn't finish it because of the horrible "Aunt Agnes" voice of Grace.

I almost stopped listening because the narrator for grace sounded like the old lady from titanic, and the character itself makes me so mad on how stupid she is. I wish I could shake her. The history over all isn't great I don't think is honoring the bravery of those that sacrifice their lives for their country and the world if you think about it, I just didn't like the whole narrative over all . I don't recommend it if you love historical fiction but still want a little bit of the truth. This isn't for you.

Not the best
