Bernie might be the only one who thinks the police have arrested the wrong man, including the perp's own defense attorney. 

Chet and Bernie begin to look into Wendell's work, a search that leads to a struggling winemaker who has received an offer he can't refuse. Meanwhile, Chet is smelling water where there is no water, and soon Chet and Bernie are in danger like never before.

A really good one

Chet is on tip top form and the story moves along at a good pace. Outstanding narration as usual!

LOVE IT - a top 3 favorite series

at first I thought, from the dog's perspective, hmm. it is super, wish there were more, fun, exciting, sweet, loveable, to me - all good

chet the jet is the best!!!!

the mystery aspect is so so but Chet is so hilarious i binge on one book after the other. He’s happy trigger for Bernie to use the .38 special or do an upper cut on a perp 🤣 this series is a lot of fun & have so many LOL moments. He adores his partner so much and thinks he has “the most beautiful face” hahhaha. I love how he’s so loyal, always hungry & forgetful.

Loved this particular episode. Chet and Bernie save the day and clear up miss-justice once again rescuing the good and the innocent. Way to go Chet the jet!

Best in the series

This was the best storyline in the Chet and Bernie series yet. There was actually character development in this book. And of course Chet is always wonderful.
